Spain Stages

The igus:bike world tour has arrived in Spain. This journey takes us across the country — north to south, east to west — through iconic cities known for their monuments, rich culinary traditions, and unique landscapes. We’re doing it all on our igus:bike, an innovative bicycle made from recycled plastic that doesn’t need lubrication or manteinance. Along the way, we also take the opportunity to visit some clients from different industries.

We start our route in Vilanova i la Geltrú, where our future headquarters are being built. From there, we explore the city of Barcelona, well-known for its sunny weather and Gaudí’s work, and continue to Valencia, home of Paella and the City of Arts and Sciences, its iconic cultural complex.

Next, we head inland to the region of Castile-La Mancha — land of Don Quixote and windmills — and continue south towards Granada and Seville, two magical cities full of history, culture, and flamenco.

We then visit Madrid, Spain’s vibrant capital, before travelling northwest to Galicia to discover Santiago de Compostela, the end of the world-famous pilgrimage route Camino de Santiago. The adventure comes to an end after exploring the modern city of Bilbao, with its iconic Guggenheim Museum, and reaching the beautiful coastal city of San Sebastián.
