China Stages

As a symbol of igus’ environmental protection concept of “plastic circular economy“, igusbike has arrived at China in spring, the season when everything begins to grow. In the following month, igusbike will travel through Chinese cities and villages, enjoy the magnificent beauty of Chinese mountains and rivers, learn about China’s long history and culture, and witness the rise of Chinese manufacturing.

In the long history and strategic planning of China, environmental protection has always had its unique cultural genes and common practices. For example, the “Field Law” of the Qin Dynasty stipulated that logging was prohibited in spring. Another example is that the construction of green energy power plants such as wind and solar power plants reconstructs the symbiotic relationship between human and nature with the aid of science and technology.

In this journey, igus:bike (RCYL) will start from Shanghai, home of igus China factory, to travel from coastal cities to inland hubs, passing through 17 cities, and embark on a wide tour. This is not only a 60th anniversary celebration of igus, but also a practical demonstration of our environmental protection concept. Our goal is to follow the path of “low-carbon” and make our travel green.
