Polish Stages

igus:bike in Poland – from the Palace, through the south, to the sea

From city to city, through castles, factories, rivers, and mountains – igus:bike travels across Poland, combining modern technology with unique landscapes and memorable encounters.

We set off from Warsaw, where igus:bike travels through the capital’s iconic locations – the Vistula Boulevards, the Old Town, the Palace of Culture and Science, and the bustling downtown streets.

From Mazovia, we head south. In Zawiercie, we visit one of our customers, and then we set off towards the limestone rocks and impressive ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle. The Jurassic climbs do not impress igus:bike – it easily gains altitude without lubrication.

The road then takes us through the heart of Upper Silesia and the Zagłębie region. In Katowice, we stop at Spodek, take a look at Nikiszowiec and discover the industrial history of the region while visiting another customer.

From Katowice, we travel to Krakow, entering the Main Market Square, winding through the narrow streets of the Old Town, and then heading to the Vistula River, where the Wawel Dragon and the panorama of Wawel Hill await us.

Further on, we arrive in Wrocław. We meet with a customer and set off on a tour of the city together, visiting the Centennial Hall, the zoo, Ostrów Tumski, and other places that give this city its unique rhythm.

The next stage is Legnica – here, igus:bike rolls through the streets of the old town, stops at the Piast Castle and visits the Copper Museum.

We return to Warsaw for a moment to set a new direction – north. The Tri-City awaits us! Gdańsk, Sopot, and Gdynia welcome us with their seaside atmosphere, beautiful architecture, more meetings with users of our solutions, and, of course, bicycle views of the sea and beaches.

The end of the trip? Szczecin. Here, igus:bike travels along the banks of the Oder River, visits the Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle and Wały Chrobrego, and finally rests by the lake. But that’s not the end – because every day is a new chapter in this story.

igus:bike in Poland is more than just a journey. It is a demonstration of the strength of lightweight construction, lubrication-free solutions, and the mobility of the future – in the very center of well-known (and less obvious) places.

After seaside Gdynia, our route headed to the last point of our tour – to Szczecin – a city that, although not directly on the sea, has always had a strong connection to water and shipping. The capital of Western Pomerania is a surprising contrast: industrial waterfronts meet modernist architecture, and history intertwines with modernity.

We also visited the 3DForce company – our customer and a local leader in 3D printing and modern technologies. It’s a place where engineering meets creativity, and each project demonstrates the dynamic development of digital manufacturing.
