Stage 1 A Festive Start in Antwerp

We kicked off in Belgium with a culture-filled day in Antwerp, blending history and cycling fun. Starting at Het Steen, a medieval fortress turned iconic landmark on the Scheldt River, we dove into the city’s rich past.
Next, we cycled to Antwerp’s Grote Markt, encircled by guild houses and the Renaissance-style City Hall, showcasing the city’s role in trade and culture.
At the Cathedral, we marveled at Gothic architecture and Rubens’ artworks. Passing the MAS Museum and historic Eilandje, we headed to the Europaterminal for meaningful customer visits. A day of history, architecture, and connections—an ideal start to the Igus Bike Tour.
Stage 2 Exploring the Heart of Brussels
The igus:bike rolled through vibrant Brussels, a city rich in culture and history. Our journey began at Mont des Arts, where stunning views and iconic architecture set the stage.
Next, we pedaled to Grand Place, a UNESCO World Heritage site buzzing with energy, featuring ornate guild houses and the magnificent Town Hall. The quirky Manneken Pis added a touch of humor before we cycled to the striking Atomium, symbolizing innovation and progress—perfect for Igus’ 60th anniversary.
The day ended with a rewarding customer visit to MCS Control, celebrating partnerships that drive our journey forward.

Stage 3 Cycling Through the Charm of Bruges

On the third day of our 60th-anniversary journey, the Igus Bike rolled into Bruges, a city often called the “Venice of the North.” With its canals, medieval architecture, and cobblestone streets, Bruges offered the perfect backdrop for another day filled with history, culture, and customer connections.
Stage 4 From Industrial Heritage to Natural Beauty in Limburg
On the fourth day of our 60th-anniversary journey, the igus Bike took us to the Limburg region of Belgium, where history, sports, and nature merge in inspiring ways. Our route led us through Genk and Maasmechelen, two destinations that perfectly reflect the transformation of Belgium’s industrial past into vibrant cultural and recreational experiences.

Stage 5 Discovering Liège´s heritage and innovation

The igus:bike tour’s 60th-anniversary journey continued in Liège, a city of history, culture, and modern architecture. Day 5 began at the Archéoforum, where ancient remains reveal Liège’s deep roots. We cycled to Fort de la Chartreuse, a 19th-century fortress now reclaimed by nature. At Parc de la Boverie, we enjoyed art and green spaces by the Meuse River. The iconic Liège-Guillemins station showcased modern design. Meeting our customer Dekken highlighted the day, reflecting the tour’s spirit: connecting heritage, innovation, and valued partnerships.
