An Unforgettable Bike Tour Through Switzerland with the igus:bike
Welcome to Switzerland, igus:bike! Our journey begins in the beautiful city of Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Bern is renowned for its well-preserved medieval old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Charmingly situated in a loop of the River Aare, the city offers numerous attractions, including the Federal Palace, the Zytglogge (a medieval clock tower) and the Bear Park.
From Bern, we ride to Zuchwil and then on to Egerkingen, home to the headquarters of igus Switzerland. This route takes us through picturesque landscapes and charming villages. The quiet roads make cycling here particularly enjoyable. We will also visit Blüemlismatt, an idyllic spot above Egerkingen renowned for its stunning views. From there, we cycle on to Oftringen, Nebikon and Sursee. Sursee is located on Lake Sempach and boasts a beautiful old town with historic buildings and cosy cafés.
Upon reaching Lucerne, we discover a city full of history and culture. Situated on Lake Lucerne, the city is surrounded by impressive mountains. Highlights include the Chapel Bridge, one of Europe’s oldest covered wooden bridges, and the Swiss Museum of Transport. From Lucerne, we ride to Küssnacht am Rigi. Küssnacht is famous for the Hohle Gasse, where, according to legend, William Tell shot the Habsburg bailiff Gessler. Our final destination is the Seebodenalp, a beautiful high plateau located between Küssnacht and the Rigi mountain. Here, we can enjoy the tranquility and admire the impressive views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains.
During our tour, we will visit four customers: OptoTech AG, Rivella AG, Daetwyler Graphics and Brun Marti Dytan. This bike tour offers the perfect blend of culture, history, innovation and nature. The innovative and sustainable igus:bike makes this journey an unforgettable experience. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride!
