The FIELD system from the international automation expert FANUC is an open platform that focuses on the simultaneous use of various Industrial IoT applications within a production facility, such as machines, robots, CNC controllers and sensors. The software connects machines of any kind with the help of an interactive web. This allows the software to access an immense volume of data and also provide highly efficient evaluations.
The FIELD system therefore enables you to draw better conclusions from data streams and to organise processes more efficiently. For example, predictions can be made about possible errors of machines.
The goal of the FIELD system is to link all devices within the production. FANUC’s open platform gives manufacturers of machines, robots, sensors and peripherals the flexibility to develop their own applications. At the same time, it offers you the possibility of linking the software to higher-level systems, such as an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), SCM (Supply Chain Management) or MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) system.
