No, you do not have to. If your organisation wants to monitor production and switch to predictive maintenance, you do not have to buy extra hardware and set up a new IT infrastructure.

To integrate the sensors, igus has different options. Anything is possible, from the simple connection to a top-hat rail module directly on the system, which displays an alarm signal in the event of a critical condition, up to integration into existing customer displays and web dashboards with detailed system information. It is entirely up to you how networked and extensive you want to operate your machines and your company. The existing infrastructure is completely sufficient for the time being.
