The igus:bike Spends Thanksgiving Weekend on Cape Cod!

After absolutely crushing the Western U.S. leg of the tour, it was time for the igus:bike to hit the East Coast! And where better to kick off this new chapter than scenic Cape Cod, Massachusetts, just in time for Thanksgiving weekend? Along with the new locale came a new, awesome rider for this holiday weekend: U.S. Head of Marketing Casey Ganshirt!
The long weekend adventure started the day before Thanksgiving, with Casey bringing the bike right over the iconic Sagamore Bridge onto the Cape proper, before cruising into Yarmouth to settle in for the night.
Things got underway early the next morning! A scenic ride along the Cape Cod Rail Trail brought Casey along the coast to Brewster, where she took a well-deserved break for a classic Thanksgiving plate — you can’t beat that holiday fuel! After wrapping up the meal, it was straight back to the trail to finish the day. The ride concluded in Orleans, where Casey would rest up to prepare for a busy day of Black Friday shopping and more sightseeing.
The following morning, Casey made a quick stop at the beach to take in the beautiful sights and put the igus:bike through its paces before diving into the chaos of Black Friday shopping. Later that day, the adventure ended back on the bike trail with a scenic ride along a beautiful golf course.
On Saturday, Casey continued heading north, making a thrilling stop in Eastham to look for sharks off the coast. After that exciting stop, she finished the ride up in Wellfleet, near the northernmost point of the Cape.
By the time Sunday rolled around, it was time to bring the bike back to base. So, Casey hit the trail one last time, cycling all the way back to Yarmouth where the trip originally began. With the busy, fun-filled weekend just about over, the bike was ready for its next big stop: Atlanta, Georgia!
Casey Ganshirt joined igus in December of 2024 as Head of Marketing in the United States. As a longtime Massachusetts resident, she was ecstatic to get a chance to show off the gorgeous views and unique locales in her home state
