The igus:bike meets first customers

Nathalie Reuter | 4. June 2025

Day two of the igus:bike tour! Today, we’re starting with a meeting with one of our long-standing customers: SFA (Société Française Assainissement)

SFA is the french specialist in pumping and macerating solutions for the sanitary sector, and their expertise is crucial in thousands of homes and establishments. In their systems, every part counts. igus’ grease-free, moisture-resistant linear guides are perfectly suited to these demanding environments. A fascinating exchange with their teams about product innovation.

Before leaving Paris, it was impossible not to make a detour to one of its most emblematic symbols: the Butte Montmartre. The igus:bike climbed up to the Sacré-Coeur basilica, overlooking the city. Between the staircases, the street artists and the panoramic view over the rooftops of Paris, it was a breathtaking moment… and a nice contrast between the timeless charm of the neighborhood and the futuristic allure of our bike.

We then took a short detour to our french headquarters in Fresnes, where we took a friendly break, shared a few anecdotes about the tour and recharged our batteries. It was also an opportunity to show off the bike to any colleagues who hadn’t yet had the chance to see it in the flesh. A guaranteed success!

Last customer of the day: Stoppil. We head for Seine-et-Marne to meet Stoppil, experts in dosing and packaging for the food industry. They use our products on their filling lines, where precision and cleanliness are essential. drylin® linear guides, bearings resistant to intensive cleaning, custom machined parts in engineering plastics… here, igus solutions find their perfect place.

And finally: a magical stopover at Disneyland Paris. Because the industry also needs dreams, we made a short stop in Mickey’s land before hitting the road. We couldn’t leave the Paris region without a touch of enchantment.

Off to Lille! After a busy day, it’s off to the north. A 2h30 drive to Lille, the next stop on our tour. Tomorrow, a change of atmosphere, weather (perhaps?), and new discoveries. See you tomorrow for stage 3!

Riders of the day 🚴🏻

Jordan TOOLSEE

“My name is Jordan and I’ve been working for igus for 12 years. I joined the team as a tranee and today I’m in outside sales in and around Paris. I’m a regular cyclist, so it was an obvious choice to take part in the igus:bike tour.”

Gregory KAYAT

“I’m Gregory and part of the igus outside sales team for 6 years. I’m spezialized in e-chain products, so it’s a nice change to deal with dry-tech parts around this event.”
