Stealing the Spotlight At Energy Pack & Makino India

Rakshith Rao | 6. February 2025

It was a perfect Bangalore morning—a cool breeze, clear skies, and just the right vibe for an adventure. With the city waking up to another busy day, our team set out on a special mission: to take the igus:bike on a ride to Energy Pack Private Limited (EPPL) and Makino India Pvt. Ltd.. Little did we know, we were about to witness some serious excitement and enthusiasm for this one-of-a-kind ride!

A Ride to Remember at EPPL

Our product engineer, Pavan Raj, took the igus:bike on a journey to Energy Pack Private Limited (EPPL). Established in 1984 and based in Bengaluru, the company specializes in precision engineering, automation, and packaging machinery. As soon as we arrived, the air was filled with curiosity. The EPPL team—known for their innovation and forward-thinking approach—couldn’t wait to check it out.

The moment we rolled in, heads turned. The sleek design, the sustainable materials, and the sheer uniqueness of the bike had them talking. And the excitement! It reminded us why we love bringing out-of-the-box innovations to life.

igus provides various solutions to support EPPL’s packaging machinery, including iglidur plain bushings of different materials, barstock for conveyor applications, and tribo tape for sliding. Additionally, drylin W is used in cartooning machines for pusher and door applications.

Having worked with EPPL for over a decade, this visit was just another milestone in our awesome partnership!

Makino India Takes the igus:bike for a Spin

Next up, Jai Vidyacharan rode the igus:bike to Makino India Pvt. Ltd., a powerhouse in advanced machining and manufacturing. What happened there? Total bike frenzy!

Representatives from Production, Purchase, HR, Finance, Sales, and even a Technical Advisor from Japan gathered to witness the bike in action. And what a reaction it got! Everyone wanted a closer look, some wanted to ride it, and all of them spoke highly about the bike. The fact that it’s made from recycled ocean waste? Even more impressive!

Makino India Pvt. Ltd., established in 1996 and based in Bengaluru, specializes in high-speed horizontal and vertical machining centers. Makino India was the first igus India customer to receive premium-ready chains, marking the beginning of a relationship that has spanned over a decade.

Seeing so much enthusiasm at Makino was a blast. It wasn’t just a product demo—it was a chance to geek out over cool tech and discuss how sustainability is shaping the future.

More Than Just a Bike—A Whole New Vibe

What an exciting day it was for our team—sparking conversations, sharing ideas, and getting people excited about innovation and sustainability. And judging by the energy we saw? Mission accomplished!

The igus:bike is proof that engineering can be fun, exciting, and environmentally responsible. And seeing industry pros totally loving it? That’s what keeps us going.

So, who’s next for a ride?
