Stage 3. Next Stop: Gyeongsang-do! Ride into the Heart of Korea’s Industrial Powerhouse

Stage 3 of the bike tour continued with a visit to Gyeongsangnam-do, a key industrial hub of Korea. The day was packed with visits to customers and exploring the region’s landscapes.
The journey began in igus Korea’s southern office located in Gimhae before heading to WESO. The igus Korea’s southern office is situated in Gimhae, South Korea, a key industrial hub located near Busan, the second capital city. Its strategic location provides access to major industries and transportation networks in the region.

The visit provided an opportunity to discuss solutions and see the products in action.
Next, the route extended to Geoje Island, a beautiful coastal destination. One of the highlights was Mongdol Beach, famous for its smooth pebbles and scenic shoreline. From there, the tour continued to the Geoje Cable Car
Geoje Cable Car provides panoramic views of the island and surrounding sea, enhancing the tourism experience. The cable car system incorporates igus lubrication-free plastic bearings, contributing to its smooth operation and reliability. The integration of these components underscores the importance of advanced materials in maintaining efficient and sustainable infrastructure.
The stage 3 concluded with a blend of industrial insights and natural beauty, reflecting the multifaceted character of Gyeongsangnam-do.
