Stage 3: igus:bike in Kraków – the bike of the future in a city of legends and history

Anna Kielar | 12. August 2025

igus:bike in Kraków marks the third stage of the Polish journey within the global igus:bike World Tour. Kraków is a city full of tradition, magic, and modernity – the perfect place to showcase how our plastic bicycle blends innovation with history.

Engineering and passion meet at the heart of innovation

EXA22 is a team of engineers and technology enthusiasts specializing in the implementation of advanced mechatronic projects. By combining expertise in software, electronics, and mechanics, the company creates dedicated solutions tailored to the individual needs of its customers.

Cooperation with such partners shows how important innovative components – such as those supplied by igus – are in ensuring the durability and reliability of modern industrial equipment and systems.

Legendary stories come to life on the Vistula River

The next stop on the map is a symbol of Krakow – the legendary Wawel Dragon. Its fire-breathing sculpture attracts crowds of tourists, especially the youngest ones. It is a place where history and fantasy come together for good, and igus:bike, quiet and maintenance-free, fits perfectly into this magical atmosphere.

In the footsteps of royal history on Wawel Hill

Although we couldn’t ride our bikes up the hill, we were at the foot of the Royal Castle – the residence of Polish kings and one of the most important symbols of national history. A place full of works of art, royal chambers, and tombs, it reminds us how important it is to combine tradition with modernity – just like the igus:bike.

The magic of the medieval market square on two wheels

At the end of the day, we reached the Main Market Square – the largest medieval market square in Europe, bustling with cafes, monuments and street artists. The Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica and the famous bugle call from the tower create a unique atmosphere that is best experienced from the perspective of a bike.

igus:bike in Krakow is a story about connecting history with the future, tradition with technology. We can’t wait for the next stage of this unique journey!

Our rider: Marcin Szymborski

Marcin is one of igus’s newest additions – he has been supporting our marketing team since May 2025, quickly proving himself to be a great organizer and communicator.

In his free time, he is passionate about sports: soccer, badminton, and running. Regular training helps him stay in shape and maintain a positive energy that he shares with the entire team.
