Stage 3: A day dedicated to our customers
Ramona Senoner | 7. July 2025
Today’s stage is all about our customers. After a 30-minute drive, we arrive at the headquarters of Daetwyler Graphics AG in Oftringen. Founded in 1965, the company is renowned for its innovative process solutions and specialises in the high-precision processing of gravure cylinders’ form and surface using turning, cutting and grinding machines. Enzo Giglio, COO at Daetwyler shows the use of igus products in a CFM machine.
After a short lunch break, we continue our journey southwards and arrive at Brun Marti Dytan AG at 2.30 pm. The company is known for its customised standard and special crane systems, its 24-hour service throughout Switzerland and the sale of crane components. We have already realised various large-scale projects with them, including various waste incineration plants, wood-fired power stations and container cranes in which they use igus energy chain systems. We visit the large assembly hall with a crane in operation.
On our way we make a quick stop at Emmi Kaltbach to grab some cheese. Cheese is a central part of Swiss culture and economy: In Switzerland, over 700 types of cheese are produced and its annual production amounts to over 200’000 tonnes.
We can quench our thirst (it’s over 30 degrees now) at our destination for the day, the Ramseier Erlebniswelt in Sursee. Ramseier Suisse AG is a Swiss drinks manufacturer that specializes in producing apple juice, apple spritzers, fruit juices and cider. Apples are the most widely grown fruit in Switzerland and an important part of Swiss agriculture. Did you know that the average Swiss person eats around 16 kilograms of apples per year, which is almost as much as our igus:bike weighs?
Our riders:
Thomas Rogger
My name is Thomas Rogger, I’m 55 years old and I have been working at igus for almost 20 years. For ten of those years, I was a Key Account Manager for the Energy Chains and Cables division. Close dialogue with customers is central to my work, allowing us to develop customized and innovative solutions that optimize their processes and increase efficiency. I look forward to visiting some of my long-standing customers and the exchange with them. I’m also often out and about on my bike. In my free time, I also enjoy fishing and barbecues.

Kevin Schnarwiler
Hello, I’m Kevin Schnarwiler, I’m 29 years old, and I have been working at igus for four and a half years. For over three of those years, I worked as a Regional Sales Manager for e-chain systems. For the last year, I have been a Product Manager for Projects and Services. I work closely with customers to develop customised solutions that meet their specific requirements. I developed my passion for cycling in Asín, a small village in Zaragoza with a population of 50, where I learnt to ride a bike. In my spare time, I enjoy sports and carnival.
