Today, spring breeze brings coolness and spring rain falls lightly and steadily.
In the morning, we arrived at Taiyuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., the first heavy machinery company in China. Taizhong is oriented at the direction of “refined, international, high-end, and intelligent”, and positioning its products as high-end, intelligent, green, and domestically produced. It insists on strengthening traditional products such as industrial cranes, optimizing strategic new products such as high-end numerically-controlled machine tools, and producing batch products such as new energy intelligent forklifts.

During our over 20 years’ cooperation, Taizhong has been the first company that uses e-chains on coke dry quenching elevators. It uses drag chains of igus. After more than 10 years’ technological improvement, igus e-chains have become standard configuration of this equipment. So it is with nuclear power cranes. Taizhong is also the first company that uses e-chains in nuclear-powered cranes. Now, Taizhong is in a period of transforming into the field of engineering machinery, with its aerial work platforms and fire trucks also starting to use igus e-chains. This time, as a milestone product in the plastic cycling concept, igus:bike made customer eyes light up and deepened their impression on great creativity of igus.

In the afternoon, we arrived at Jinci Museum. This is an ancient building that predates the Summer Palace by one thousand years and it has a history of nearly 3,000 years. Nearly one hundred palaces, pavilions, terraces, bridges, and water pavilions adorn the mountains and lakes, and they are distributed in a self-consistent manner. Here, natural landscapes and historical culture intertwine with each other.

Landscape and culture can be combined perfectly, and nature and technology can also coexist. Adhering to the concept of sustainable development, igus advocates the Chainge recycling program, which recycles plastic waste to create a series of environmental friendly products, including this igus:bike. Igus hopes that plastic can continue to be recycled and become a sustainable resource.

It is worth mentioning that in JJinci Museum, our orange igus:bike attracted many tourists, who stopped and tried cycling. Although it was the first time that they learned about igus, they highly affirmed igus’ environment protection concept.
Our rider: Soccer Li & Golson Wei
Igus:bike, born from the principles of eco-conscious design and maintenance-free engineering, bridges millennia in this cycling journey. Jinci Museum’s ancestral wisdom collides and coalesces with igus’ cutting-edge technology, sending ripples through the river of time – a revolution stirred up by motion plastic, where molecular resilience echoes the endurance of history itself.
