Stage 1: Welcome to igus Denmark

After many months of waiting, igus:bike has finally arrived in Denmark. This marks the start of five stages around the country, where the bike will visit several locations and customers.

The first stop is in Vejle, where Henrik Borch, country manager for igus Denmark since 2017, will welcome us. Henrik has played a central role in driving the growth that igus Denmark has experienced in recent years, making him a key figure in the success the company is enjoying today.

The stage begins at the office in Vejle and takes us through the surrounding forests, where we catch a glimpse of deer along the way. The tour continues to the fjord, where we pass well-known landmarks such as Bølgen and Fjordenhus – an area that beautifully combines nature and modern architecture.

From Vejle, the tour continues towards Billund. The town is known as the home of LEGOLAND® and the LEGO® factory, which is also one of igus’ customers. This makes Billund a natural stop on this journey, where we not only celebrate innovation and sustainability, but also the strong partnerships that drive development forward.

This is just the beginning. Over the next few stages, the igus:bike Tour will visit several Danish cities and customers – and along the way tell stories about collaboration, technology and the circular economy in practice.

Henrik Borch

Henrik, our country manager, began his journey with igus in early 2017. His very first mission was no small task: relocating igus ApS from North Zealand to Vejle, where the company has since flourished – and will soon take another step forward by moving into larger, modern facilities. Since then, Henrik has been part of an exciting growth journey, as the organization expanded in line with its market share. Today, he proudly represents the entire igus product portfolio in Denmark, always striving to meet customers and partners at eye level – right on their home ground.

The arrival of the igus:bike in Denmark is therefore especially meaningful for Henrik. As someone who has long been passionate about cycling, he sees the bike not only as a symbol of igus innovation and sustainability, but also as a perfect reflection of his own interests. The igus:bike combines robust engineering with a vision for a circular economy – qualities that resonate strongly with Henrik’s work and values.

Outside of work, Henrik finds energy in sports and outdoor activities, with a particular passion for cycling in the mountains of Southern Europe, where challenging climbs and breathtaking landscapes go hand in hand. At home, he shares his love of good food with his family of four – together, they enjoy discovering new flavors and creating memorable meals.
