Stage 1: igus:bike explores the heart of Prague
Michael Poepke | 1. August 2025
On the first day of the Czech tour, Kamila Lattnerová, Marketing Manager for igus at HENNLICH CZ, took the igus:bike for a spin through the streets of Prague. Used as a shared town bike, the igus:bike proved to be the perfect city companion — quiet, lightweight, and completely maintenance-free.
Prague from Land and Water
Kamila began her ride at Náplavka, the popular embankment along the Vltava River, where she met her colleague Tomáš Houdek, Product Manager at HENNLICH.
Together, they left the bike momentarily behind and boarded a boat to enjoy a different perspective of the city — from the water. As the boat glided along the Vltava, they admired the impressive silhouette of Prague Castle, watching history roll by under the summer sky.
Iconic City Landmarks
Back on the bike, Kamila and Tomáš continued through the city, passing architectural icons like the Dancing House and the National Theatre — powerful contrasts of modernity and tradition, just like the igus:bike itself.
Cycling Through History
Their ride brought them to the Charles Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most visited spots in Prague. From there, they cycled into the winding streets of the Old Town, finishing their journey beneath the legendary Prague Astronomical Clock, a 600-year-old mechanical marvel that’s still ticking today.
Innovation in Motion
This first leg of the Czech Republic’s RCYL Tour captured everything the igus:bike stands for — innovation in motion, seamlessly integrated into the heart of everyday life and culture.
