Rising from garbage to new age- ocean plastics to motion plastics!

Rakshith Rao | 20. February 2025

What’s better than hitting the road on our igus:bike and exploring places that blend exciting tech, stunning architecture, and some serious soul-soothing vibes? That’s exactly what our rider, Shashikant, did—and trust us, you are gonna love this ride-along. Buckle up, folks!

First stop? Antony Lara Renewable Energy Ltd.—not your average power plant! This plant processes 700 tonnes of waste daily and transforms it into a whopping 14 MW of clean energy.

This is the first Waste-to-Energy plant in Pimpri-Chinchwad which was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Ministerof India Shri Narendra Modi in 2018.

And here’s where it gets even more exciting—they use igus readychain system on their cranes for CT and LT movement, making operations smooth, reliable, and maintenance-free. Now, that’s what we call next-level efficiency in sustainable waste management.

Chasing Tranquility at Shri Parshwa Pradnyalaya

And just when we thought this journey couldn’t get any better, Shashikant rode the bike to Shri Parshwa Pradnyalaya, a Jain pilgrimage center tucked away in the peaceful outskirts of Talegaon Dabhade.

It is a grand temple surrounded by smaller shrines, each dedicated to one of the 24 Tirthankaras. The air here is thick with peace and spirituality, making it the perfect escape from the city’s madness.

If you are looking to hit reset and find your Zen, this is the place to be.

The Stunning Birla Ganpati Temple

Next, our bike reached Birla Ganpati Temple, where Lord Ganesha stands 72 feet tall—yep, you read that right! This isn’t just a statue; it is a masterpiece sculpted by Maturam Verma and Nareshkumar Verma from Pilani.

Built over two years using cement, concrete, and copper, this divine marvel was established by the Birla family in 2009. Standing tall along the Old Mumbai Highway, it is one of those spots that just commands your attention.

Whether you are here for blessings or just to admire the sheer scale of this beauty, this place is a total must-visit.

What a Ride!

From witnessing groundbreaking waste-to-energy tech to standing in awe before a giant Ganpati and soaking in peace at a Jain temple, this ride had it all! Innovation, devotion, and tranquillity—all packed into one epic ride.

Exploring such magnificence on our igus:bike is way beyond what we had expected. We are enjoying the India tour thoroughly. Are you?
