Pedaling Towards a Greener Tomorrow: The Press Meets Our igus:bike

Can a bike made from plastic change the world? To answer such questions and many more, we unveiled the igus:bike to the press today. 

The excitement in the room was contagious. Over 30 attendees from local news outlets and industrial magazines joined us for the event. The event was a vibrant mix of insightful speeches and interactive sessions highlighting the innovation behind the igus:bike and its significance in advancing sustainability. 

A Big Day for the igus:bike – Unveiling the Future

Mr. Deepak Paul, our Managing Director kicked off the event with an inspiring speech, “igus:bike has proven that sustainability and innovation can go hand in hand. With this innovation, our team has proven that the circular economy is not just an aspiration but an achievable reality. This world tour is more than just a showcase of our technology. Our goal is to show the world that plastics, when managed responsibly, have the potential to revolutionize industries and reduce environmental impact. We also aim to inspire consumers to see plastic as a resource, not waste.”

Moving forward, our Director, Mr. Santhosh Jacob, highlighted the versatility of igus products and the potential for manufacturing the igus:bike in India. 

Mr. Thilo Schultes (CEO drytech new businesses) set the tone for the event with an inspiring speech, highlighting, “igus:bike is a testament to the company’s efforts in advancing the circular economy for plastics. As a company with 60 years of expertise in manufacturing industrial components for movement from plastic, we are committed to driving the transformation to a sustainable circular economy for plastic. The igus:bike represents a significant milestone in this journey. Through this world tour, we aim to inspire companies and consumers alike to embrace sustainable solutions.”

An Interactive Wrap-Up

The Q&A session that followed was the cherry on top. The attendees actively engaged with the speakers, making the press conference enriching, and  they were very much impressed with the concept and the path of sustainability of igus.It was more than just a Q&A—it felt like a brainstorming session on how we can collectively make sustainability a mainstream reality.

At the end of the day, the event wasn’t just about showcasing the igus:bike. It was about our future—one that challenges us to rethink how we see and use plastics. And let’s face it: the igus:bike is here to lead the way.
