What influences the capacitance of a cable?
The capacitance between the cores is influenced by the core insulation (material), the voltage classes (wall thickness of the core insulation) and by the material of the insulation (material constant). With regard to the capacitance in relation to the shield, the situation is similar but the position of the core in relation to the shield and an inner jacket between the shield and core are also important, of course. In both cases, the capacitance increases linearly with the length of the cable.
