How does the capacitance of a drive cable become noticeable in practice?
The capacitance between cores is the ability to store energy in the cable. The result of this stored energy is that, in the case of a drive cable, the inverter has to put additional energy into transfer of the electrons. It is therefore desirable to keep the capacitance of the cable as low as possible in order to reduce this energy.
