Reaming or increasing the hole size of iglidur plain bearings is possible without further ado, and can even have a positive effect on the running-in phase – the frictional properties when the component is in a new condition. Materials with a high fibre content, however, can become rougher or frayed during machining. You can find more details in our blog article on the topic.
