Exploring Singapore’s “Instagrammable” spots & Partnering with Innovation at SIT
Aaron Lim | 11. December 2024
Today, the igus:bike world tour takes a visual twist as we explore some of Singapore’s most “Instagrammable” spots with our iconic orange bike.
The first half of the day began with Vijay, our Marketing Officer, leading the way. We kicked off at Fort Canning Park, home to the stunning spiral staircase—a favorite among photographers and nature lovers alike. From there, we made our way to Chijmes, a heritage building that beautifully blends history with modern charm, before stopping by the War Memorial Park, a peaceful and reflective green space in the heart of the city. The ride continued past the National Gallery, a masterpiece of art and architecture, and concluded at Cavenagh Bridge, one of Singapore’s oldest bridges and a perfect spot to capture the charm of the Singapore River.
The second half of the day saw JK, our Bearings Salesperson, taking over the reins of the igus:bike for an exciting customer visit at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). The destination was the Additive Manufacturing Department, where igus has an ongoing collaboration to solve real-world applications through innovative solutions.

During the visit, the igus:bike was a key highlight. The team at SIT had the chance to test ride our newest innovation, experiencing firsthand the bike’s durability and lubrication-free design. The discussions with the department centered around how igus solutions, particularly in additive manufacturing, continue to support breakthroughs in engineering and sustainability.
