Cable guide for load suspension device on an indoor crane

Jens Göbel | 9. April 2020

liftband was specifically developed for vertical applications on indoor cranes. A spiral-shaped energy chain that can be placed in a collection basket. The cables are guided in the spiral-shaped energy chain without any tensile strain. The straps attached to the system ensure that the energy chain remains safe in the collection basket. The system is light, requires very little installation space on the load suspension device and is virtually maintenance-free.

Compensation unit for gliding applications

Jens Göbel | 7. April 2020

Modern energy chain systems can achieve travels of 1,000 metres and more. But long travels are just where it is difficult to ensure that the guide trough is mounted exactly parallel to the crane rail, for instance. Deviations of more than +/-5 mm over a distance of 100 metres and more are difficult to avoid. To ensure that the energy chain runs over itself cleanly on the two outer belts even on long travels, a compensation unit was developed.

Chemical-resistant energy chain systems for indoor cranes

Jens Göbel | 2. April 2020

The search for the best-suited cable guidance system for indoor crane applications under the influence of aggressive chemicals is a challenge. The specially developed chemically resistant igumid EG+ plastic is used both for the energy chain and for the plastic guide trough. The material’s very low total moisture absorption, which grants great resistance to aggressive chemicals, is decisive.

Compact cable guide for slewing gear on indoor cranes

Jens Göbel | 31. March 2020

Energy chain systems offer a space-saving alternative for cable guidance on the slewing gear. By means of a round guide trough, the chain is guided, mounted on its side. In this way, rotation angles of up to 540° and rotation speeds of up to 360°/s can be achieved.

Energy chains for indoor cranes with two trolleys

Jens Göbel | 26. March 2020

The cable guide problem can be solved with an energy chain on indoor cranes with two trolleys as well. But two trolleys must not always be the reason for a reverse energy chain application.
