Art Meets Sustainability at igus Singapore

After a long and fulfilling day at Crest Secondary School, the igus:bike world tour took an artistic turn for today. We were honored to welcome local artist Vincent Seet to igus Singapore. Inspired by the igus:bike and its mission of sustainability and innovation, Vincent presented us with a stunning painting that perfectly encapsulates the bike’s story and purpose.
Vincent is not just an artist—he is a two-time stroke survivor and an educator turned painter. His journey embodies resilience, creativity, and a deep passion for making a positive impact. For Vincent, every painting is “a dream come true,” and he believes that each artwork can bring “hope for peace and harmony in the world.”

The artwork features a joyful dolphin riding the igus:bike, symbolizing the bike’s connection to the ocean and its roots in recycled plastics, such as discarded fishing nets. With vibrant hues and a backdrop of forests and ocean waves, the painting captures the igus:bike’s message—that plastic waste doesn’t have to pollute our environment but can instead be transformed into something meaningful and sustainable.
Vincent’s painting not only celebrates the igus:bike’s innovative design but also reflects the broader mission of the tour—to inspire conversations about sustainability and demonstrate how creativity can help solve some of the world’s biggest environmental challenges.
As the igus:bike continues its journey across Singapore, Vincent’s painting will remain a powerful reminder of the shared commitment to a greener future, showing how art and engineering can come together to create meaningful change. Thank you, Vincent, for your incredible gift!
