Why are 7-core cables in an energy chain not so good?

You are here:

7-core cables are problematic, above all over long distances and in small bend radii. The problem is the large stranding circumference that mainly occurs in the case of 7-core cables with cross sections of more than 1.0 mm. Due to the push/pull forces that act on the cores when the cable is bent, the cores are pushed into the middle towards the centre element, whereby a space is created under the jacket making it look like a corkscrew from the outside.
