Between lake and mountains: stop in Lecco, in the direction of Bellagio!

Como Lake, June 17th.
The visit to OMIG S.r.l., a historic company based in Olginate (LC) specialized in the design and construction of custom electroplating systems and galvanic plants, was a good start for this second Italian day. The company, founded in 1959, has installed over 500 systems in 32 countries, earning international recognition for the reliability and quality of its solutions for sectors such as furniture, fashion, automotive and mechanics. Simone Ratti – Head of Technical Department – answered a couple of questions explaining the reasons why OMIG chose igus as their trusted partner and why readychain were the right solution to their problems.
After the meeting and a good ride along the Adda River, we reach Pescate and then head straight into the center of Lecco and its lakefront. The air is crisp, the sky is clear and the mountains frame the deep blue of the lake. The bike is perfect for this kind of ride: quiet and agile, even among pedestrians.
After a quick lunch “by the lake”, on the way to our next stop, we can’t help but take a moment to admire the historic company and one of our clients, Moto Guzzi – a true symbol of Italian motorcycling since the 1920s.
Then we’re off toward Varenna, one of Lake Como’s gems. The bike journey is breathtaking: gentle curves, sudden scenic views and peaceful silence full of beauty. Once there, we enjoy the famous Lovers’ Walk, suspended over the water – romantic even for those just passing through.
Finally, we head to the harbor and board the ferry to Bellagio. A short crossing brings us into the heart of this true jewel of the lake. Cobbled streets, colorful houses, the scent of jasmine… Bellagio is the perfect grand finale to a day filled with nature, creativity, and beauty.

I’m Luca Tosetti, 44, from Cisano Bergamasco. I’m an electromechanical sales technician and have been with igus since 2004. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my family, walking my dog, working out at the gym, going to rock concerts, and sharing beers with friends. I’m participating in the tour to introduce the new igus:bike to customers and to try it myself.
