Slewing ring ball bearings from igus® for the most diverse applications

Despite their low weight, xiros slewing ring ball bearings made of polymer are ideally suited to support axial loads. This makes them suitable for many industrial applications.

ISAS GmbH also quickly realised that xiros is the best alternative for comparable metal solutions. This application case from the furniture industry shows you not only the requirements of ISAS GmbH, but also the numerous advantages of xiros slewing ring ball bearings made of polymer.

Slewing ring ball bearings are always dust & dirt resistant

For its edge banding machines, the company was looking for a suitable bearing for the unwinding mechanism of the glued edges. Two servo axes automatically rotate banding materials that are up to 2mm thick and 28mm high by 90 degrees and convey them to the banding feed. The solution from ISAS GmbH should be maintenance-free and lubrication-free, have low rolling resistance and a long service life. Then the company quickly became aware of polymer slewing ring ball bearings from igus. The xiros slewing ring ball bearings not only meet all requirements, but are also absolutely dust-proof and dirt-resistant, which keeps the system clean at all times and ensures trouble-free operation.

We take special customer enquiries and requests as an incentive to be innovative. An enquiry from a customer in the chemical material processing and handling industry led to a project for the largest slewing ring ball bearing. This product was not available in our product range until now. The customer wanted a slewing ring ball bearing with glass balls and open design so that he could flush it out daily. 400mm in inner diameter and 600mm in outer diameter and loads of up to 250kg with a low force of 15 Newton metres: we always take your wishes and individual enquiries to heart.
