Ready-to-install system solutions for format adjustments

To maximise flexibility, machines and equipment in the packaging, food and beverage industries must be capable of implementing precise format adjustments. This equipment might be filling or labelling machines for bottles or cans, but can also be entry lanes in material handling.

To solve this problem, igus supplies you with machine components made of high-performance polymers that offer safe and reliable operation without any additional lubrication. drylin lead screw linear systems are especially well suited to implementing format adjustments. An overview of the various ranges can be accessed via the following link:

They are delivered, ready to install, with the desired stroke lengths. There is no minimum order quantity. A wide variety of materials are used in linear axes depending on the application’s requirements: zinc die-casting, aluminium or stainless steel. If there is direct food/beverage contact, FDA-compliant polymer liners and lead screw nuts are available.

Reverse systems (based on right-left spindles) are also available, and multiple linear spindle systems can be synchronised.

The advantages for the customer are obvious:

  • These solutions are often more cost-effective than those the customer manufactures itself.
  • Ready-to-install complete systems from a single source.
  • Very high system rigidity.
  • Lubrication-free and maintenance-free.
