What is the difference between iglidur materials and simple plastics such as POM and PA6?

You are here:

iglidur materials are so-called compounds, plastics that have been mixed with special filling materials and additives. They give the plastic compound additional properties such as greater mechanical strength or protection against UV radiation, and are specially developed for use as plain bearings for dry operation – i.e. they do not require lubrication. Every iglidur material is subjected to many thousands of wear tests during development and later. The data thus gained are fed into a database, which serves as the basis for the iglidur Expert system. The online program enables you to calculate the service life of the iglidur products and thus choose the best one for your particular application.
