What are the maximum speeds for long travels?
Travel speeds up to 5m/s in continuous operation are possible and in use on current applications. Even higher speeds are possible in special cases. For example, e-chain from the E4 system achieve speeds of 22 m/s and accelerations of 784 m/s2 in crash test units. However, these only require a few thousand cycles a year. Acceleration plays a key role for the calculation.
