Interior separation of energy chains: the different types and how to find the right one

The interior separation is an important component of energy chains and serves to separate or subdivide different media within the guide. Because the service life of the system can only be increased with the correct arrangement of the cables. In this article you will learn more about the different components of interior separation and how you can find the right separation for your energy chain.
But first, we will look at the parts that belong to interior separation:
- Separators
- Partial shelf/full-width shelf
Separators and shelves create order within the energy chain. Cables with different diameters are always laid separately from each other and have no possibility to slide over each other. The result: the service life of the cables is longer.
What types of separators are there?
Standard separator, wide base:
for all purposes. Maximum holding power and secure standing.
Separator, narrow top:
one-sided tight fit with wider base and opposite narrow side for easy cable installation.
Separator, narrow base:
for a large number of thin cables side by side. Space-saving in energy chains.
Notch separator for integrated locking:
locks securely in preset increments, thus exact positioning. Recommended for side-mounted applications.
Lean separator:
extremely fast fitting of shelves in several layers, which significantly reduces harnessing time. Fast replacement of individual cables in highly filled energy chains possible.
Split separator, wide base/head:
separators can be split in the middle, allowing quick filling with cables for middle chambers from above.
Slotted separator:
the slot allows basic vertical and horizontal shelving arrangements.
Asymmetrical separator:
for side-mounted application: defined distance and spacer can be omitted.
Newuniversal separator::
the shelves can be inserted from both sides. The shelves are locked in place by means of the integrated slider and additionally when the crossbar is fitted. For unlocking, the crossbar must be removed, on the inner or outer radius.

What types of shelves are available?
Shelf, lockable:
For horizontal separation. Full-width shelf locks securely into separators at both ends, giving a fixed width. Can be used as a full-width shelf for continuous interior separation or as a partial shelf for modular shelving.
Shelf for universal interior separation:
shelves of various widths can be arranged at the height grid of 7mm.
