Find harnessed cables online – with guaranteed service life

As machine designer, you are planning a new application which requires a suitable harnessed cable. You can choose between a variety of motor producers, such as Siemens, Lenze, SEW, Bosch Rexroth, Beckhoff, B&R, Kollmorgen, Berger Lahr, Heidenhain, Fanuc, Festo and many more.

When it comes to moving cables, choosing the right cable is a lot more complex compared to cables for static installation. Here, the following factors need to be considered among others:

Travel distance
Acceleration
Speed
Bend radius
UV irradiation
Temperature
Contact with fluids
etc.

And anyway … how long is the service life of a cable considering this data?

With the online tool readycable® product finder, you can find the right cable for your motor with just a few clicks and can calculate the estimated service life of the cable you need.

1 Enter part number and determine cable length and batch size

Simply search by using the manufacturer’s part number or, if you know it, enter the corresponding igus® part number. Determine the manufacturer of your choice as well as cable length and batch size.

2 Get an overview of qualities and prices

Choose a cable. You will receive a selection of different cable qualities, different bend radii and up to seven price categories per drive cable.

3 Calculate the service life of your cable

If you would like to make sure and determine the service life of your cable in advance, click on “Enter parameters”. Enter basic information on your application there and calculate the estimated service life of the selected drive cable specifically for your application. The following parameters are required:

Use of the energy chain: unsupported, sliding, hanging or on a robot
Length of travel in m
Speed in m/s
Acceleration in m/s²
Operating temperature in °C
Bend radius in mm

Receive the estimated service life of your cable in double strokes. The indication of service life is based on real test results from the igus® laboratory.
