Engineering reduced to a few clicks – complete sets of the 4040RHDB can be ordered online
dklein | 26. April 2021
Complete sets of the heavy duty series 4040RHDB have now been standardised to a few clicks with the help of years of experience. From now on, the complete sets of the 4040RHDB for travels between 25 and 200 metres can be ordered online with just three clicks.
Complex engineering not always necessary
Roller energy chains are the heavy-duty solution from igus especially for harsh application environments. As a rule, such applications require extensive, time-consuming discussions about engineering in order to develop a solution. However, with the accumulated experience of igus engineers, it has become clear that not every application necessarily requires such an effort. As a result, the proven Heavy Duty Series 4040RHDB has now been standardised in the form of complete sets for travels between 25 and 200 metres.
On the one hand, standardisation reduces extensive, technical discussions and saves time in the process. On the other hand, customers can also save costs in the area of project planning due to the time saved.
Scope of delivery
The complete sets are available in two basic variants, which differ in the guide trough material: aluminium or galvanised steel. For the energy chain itself, there are inner widths of 250, 300 and 350mm. Included are separators, mounting brackets, a fixed end module, a floating moving end and a set of U-clamps. Depending on the length of the travel, the guide trough system consists of trough sets without glide bar, with glide bar and with climbing protection. In addition to the material, customers receive drawing and assembly instructions. There is also the option of ordering the igus installation service.
Reasons for Heavy Duty
There are many reasons for a heavy-duty rol e-chain. In addition to the increased durability, the design with rollers is particularly important. The integrated, maintenance-free rollers reduce forces by up to 75%. Likewise, higher additional loads can be implemented due to the reduced drive power for moving the chain.
