Building compact and lightweight machines

Lactose-free milk coffee, green coffee or coffee with a shot: the range of consumer wishes is growing. The variety of products dispensed by vending machines is also growing with it. What applies to the fully automatic coffee machine in the office applies equally to the bread baking machine or the reverse vending machine. The growing variety of products constantly presents vending machine manufacturers with new challenges. In addition, space is scarce and the energy requirement should be reduced if possible. How can the problem be solved?

Light and space-saving polymer components

More and more vending machine manufacturers are turning to solutions from igus for this purpose. Developed for the industry, igus products can also be found in trade. Wherever there is movement, they help safely and reliably. Compact and lightweight components are required, especially in the construction of automatic machines. Developed for this application, igus offers drylin N low-profile linear guides, chainflex cables and energy chains with narrow bend radii or iglidur plain bearings. They are light, lubrication-free and maintenance-free, quiet, durable and cost-effective to manufacture. And versatile!

A solution for any application

In a great variety of vending machines, igus products are used to technically refine solutions and save costs. iglidur plain bearings ensure resistance to rainwater and other weather conditions in the parking ticket machine. In the pizza vending machine, drylin ZLW toothed belt axis moves the pizza cooled at -20°C. drylin W linear guides allow salt, curry and pepper tins to be dispensed in spice vending machines. In the “Media Kiosk” dispensing machines, igus e-chains and cables provide the energy supply so that the products can be individually packaged and labelled. In the coffee machine, you can adjust the spout or the cup table, move the grinder or the mixer. Further applications in the vending machine sector can be found here in the blog.
