Inspiring the Next Generation

As part of the igus:bike world tour, our bright orange bike made a meaningful stop at Crest Secondary School, a long-standing partner in our efforts to inspire the next generation. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of conducting talks and workshops here, introducing students to the fascinating world of igus and the engineering industry. This visit was another step forward in shaping young minds and fostering curiosity about innovation and sustainability.

During the visit, students were thrilled to see the igus:bike up close—an innovative bicycle made almost entirely from recycled plastics. They learned about the technology and creativity behind its design, as well as the sustainable practices that make it unique. Beyond just the bike, we shared insights about how igus products contribute to various industries and how sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.

The highlight of the day was the hands-on interaction. Students had the chance to test ride the igus:bike and experience its lightweight, maintenance-free, and rust-proof design. For many, it was a tangible way to see how engineering and sustainability can work hand in hand to create innovative solutions for the future.

Our goal during every visit to Crest Secondary School is to spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and empower students to think beyond traditional boundaries. It was a joy to see their excitement and engagement, and we’re proud to be a part of their learning journey.
