20 cobots configurable online

Finally, the online and freely available robot configurator from igus also receives the Rubik cobots. At the start of the expansion of the online tool, 4 robot manufacturers will already be available for selection. Besides Universal Robots, there are also suppliers such as Techman Robot, Kuka with its LBR iiwa and Yaskawa with the HC10 series. Since the number of selection options of up to 8 robots per manufacturer would make this article too long, we will only give an overview of the manufacturers with their respective products in this first article. But don’t worry, because in the following as well as in the subsequent linked articles we will devote more detail to each manufacturer. There we go into detail about possible configurations. The goal of the configurator is to make each selectable cobot even better, more variable and more powerful.

Univeral Robots (UR) is the first step in this case. Besides Techman Robot (TR), this manufacturer is completely new in the configurator. Both newcomers start directly with the largest selection of cobots. In the case of UR you have the choice between 7 types of robots. After opening the online tool and making the first selection for the manufacturer, in this case UR, the next step is to select the model. As 3rd and already the last point, you choose the type of connection to the robot in the next step. This step is not done via drop down but via the grey areas. Then click on the next orange button to go to the next page.

In the following pictures you can see the respective start pages of all 4 manufacturers in the online tool. Techman Robots can be distinguished by the payload at the beginning of the configuration.
